Issue 1 of York Jazz Scene, a new magazine dedicated to the jazz community in York, is out now!

 

Jam-packed with items ranging from reviews to interviews, be sure to check out the profile for York Jazz, 'the world's friendliest jam session', as well as the preparations leading up to the recent Kenny Wheeler performance with the University of York Jazz Orchestra.

 

Although only released for a few days now, York Jazz Scene, or YJS, has already received enthusiastic responses from university staff, students and gig-attendees, as well as praise from local musicians such as Rob Lavers, Ron Burnett, James Lancaster, Dave Cook, Chris Moore, and Zezo Olimpio!
